Description

This is a photograph of the Royal navy ship HMS Gambia docked at Port Louis in Mauritius in March 1960. The ship was tasked to visit the island, offer humanitarian relief and aide repairs to infrastructure, following a devastating Hurricane. Royal Navy Engineer John Andrews was aboard the ship and is believed to have taken this photograph of the ship at harbour.
