Description
A view of Pontygwaith from mountain above Madeline Street, Pontygwaith taken in 1959. The large building on right is Soar Chapel. To its left on Brewery Street are the buildings of Fernvale Brewery, the low pale (cream) building with a semi circular front was the cinema 'The Bug', and the Penrhys Hotel next, all demolished and occupied by modern housing. Baglan leads from outside the cinema up to Madeline Street and Tanybryn.
