Description

Karen Pimbley interviews Phil Mackenzie about his time as Founder/Co-Artistic Director of Man Act. Phil worked with the Lindsay Kemp Company before moving to Cardiff to work with Cardiff Laboratory Theatre. He set up Man Act, working with co-director Simon Thorne, to explore the concept of masculinity in performance. The company's seminal work 'The Sweatlodge' toured across the UK, Europe and the USA in the 1990s with a cast of arund 20 male physical theatre artists.
