Description

Artist Mair Smith produced a variety of prints using a selection of coloured paper and coloured inks. This process helps an artist get a feel for what works and what doesn't, sometimes a colour such as blue, does not look blue when it is printed on a paper that is darker than the ink. Lino-cut printing is a process of trial and error until you get to the required results. Examples are then hung out to dry and checked for results. Mair's sailing yacht on the reservoir looked stunning in blue.
