Description

Up to the late 1950's, the terrace looked quite different to it's present day appearance. Just behind little John's head is the front porch of the old Aberglesyrch school, opened in 1850 in the end house of the terrace. Just visible in the picture, at the near end is the front of ty-ffwrn, the bake house where the village women baked their bread. At the rear of the picture is the Forestry camp. The little boy's name is John Morris who is with his grandmother.
