Description

This is a photograph that was taken by a Royal Regiment of Wales soldier whom was guarding the border between British Hong Kong and Chinese Hong Kong in 1980. The soldier in the photograph is Private David Dudley of the Royal Regiment of Wales. He has just caught a fish from the river at the Hong Kong border and the soldiers will supplement their rations with a freshly caught fish. The original photograph along with several others is with Mr Dai Dudley, a British Army Veteran whom served in the Royal regiment of Wales. Photographs and other documents relating to Dai's service in the RRW and Junior Leader regiment can be viewed on line in the David Dudley collection at West Wales Veterans Archive.
