Description
This is a photograph of a certificate presented to British Army soldier from the Royal regiment of Wales, Private Dai Dudley. Dai swam the channel with two colleagues during a charity challenge completed by a team of RRW soldiers, which raised a significant sum on money to help a local German children's centre in September 1987. Photographs and other documents relating to Dai's service in the RRW and Junior Leader regiment can be viewed on line in the David Dudley collection at West Wales Veterans Archive.
