Description

Hopes that the disused pub would be moved to the Welsh Folk Museum at St. Fagans were dashed by museum officials. The Goat Inn had been disused for several years and was demolished in the early part of 1988 as part of the A55 Expressway Project. St. Fagans had said that the Goat Inn was unsuitable for their needs. It was one of six pubs which their officers looked at, but none were suitable. They had been looking for an old country pub, preferably built of stone and not of brick.
