Description
This is a copy of an original photograph of four soldiers from the Gloucestershire regiment at Gil Gil camp, Kenya in 1955. Leslie Smart an infantry soldier with the regiment is pictured as the only soldier wearing a beret. A film sharing Leslie's memories of his time with the Glosters in Kenya, can be viewed on line in the Leslie Smart collection at the West Wales Veterans archive on the Peoples collection Wales website.
