Description

I created this map not only to simplify my own family research but also to share it with others who face the challenge of tracing ancestral roots. I understand how frustrating it can be to locate places from the past, such as where our families were born or where our ancestors worked. With this in mind, I put this map together to make it easier to visualise these locations, including surrounding cemeteries, which are pinpointed and linked to their respective memorials online.

Through my research, I have also identified where my great-grandparents lived, allowing me to trace how our families migrated to where we are today. This map was created in collaboration with fellow historian John Gravell, who generously provided detailed information about the Trimsaran area, including the locations of public houses and farms that were integral to the social fabric and daily lives of the community.
