Description

35mm colour slide showing section of Saundersfoot Railway near Wisemans Bridge, by Dylan Roberts.
At just over 4ft gauge, the Saundersfoot railway was constructed to link several collieries, including Stepaside/Kilgetty Collieries & Ironworks,to Saundersfoot Harbour. It was later extended to serve Reynalton Colliery, and an extension running north from Thomas Chapel leads to an area of tipping. The route includes an incline and a tunnel. A separate line ran between the Harbour and Stepaside Ironworks.

This is the Kilgetty Colliery line not Thomas Chapel.
