Description

This is a copy of an original photograph belonging to Royal Navy Veteran John Roberts. John was a young sailor aboard the light cruiser HMS Diadem, which was providing a screen for the aircraft carriers launching aircraft delivering the attack. Interviews that were recorded with John, as well as photographs and related material, can be viewed online in the John Roberts collection at the West Wales Veterans Archive on the Peoples collection Wales website.
