My ancestors are Welsh and built a farm in Marengo, Ohio. Joseph Lewis was born July 2, 1833, on Lake Erie, while his parents were on their way to this county. His father, John, and mother, Ann (Evans) Lewis, were born in Wales, and bought 100 acres in Marengo.
