This prospectus from page 14 of Pearse's Swansea Directory is of the Classical, Mathematical & Commercial Academy run by Thomas Theophilus Hutchinson at 6 Fisher St. Catering for both boarders and day pupils, the school is for boys only, although Mrs Hutchinson has started a preparatory school for both boys and girls. With fees between £5 and £25 per year, only well-off people could afford to send their sons to such a school.
