There is a drawing, unsigned, of this room reproduced in 'The Apartments of the House, their Arrangement, Furnishing and Decoration' by Joseph Crouch and William Butler, London, 1900. This book, written by two architects practising in Birmingham, proclaims Arts and Crafts ideals of 'Simplicity and Appropriateness' and the illustration is included as an example of how decorative plasterwork 'is full of suggestion and charm'. The drawing is dated 1897 and includes the words 'All the house filled with figures of Stories'. As I have not been to Plas Mawr I was delighted to find this photograph. Thank you.
