Description

Moel Tryfan slate quarry, opened in 1800, was worked with Alexandra quarry to the NE from 1918. The quarry was still working by 1972.

I worked in this quarry in 1956 at the age of 15 ,like my father, we walked 2 mile to and from every day. good hard work did me no harm. Eilian williams.
