Royal Welsh Fusiliers in Ireland 1941 . When you click on the map, it gives the location, well inside the Republic of Ireland. The location should be Northern Ireland as the Republic was neutral. There were German air raids on Belfast in April and May 1941 and the Royal Welsh Fusiliers were there at the time. Your photograph would seem to suggest that the Fusiliers were in some field near Galway. brinfast
