Description

Private John Llewellyn Job served with the East Lancashire Regiment in Salonika, Greece. This is a letter to his parents in Manselton, from Salonika written on 27 August 1916 - one noteworthy passage says 'I was very sorry to hear of so many Cwmbwrla boys being killed & wounded in France, and also Mrs Griffiths' case'. Less than three weeks after writing this, John himself was dead.
