Description
Evan Davies, born in Treboeth, Swansea around 1897, was a collier before the war. He joined the Royal Navy: his cap says 'HMS Pembroke', which was the name of the Royal Navy Barracks in Chatham, Kent. He is pictured here with his sweetheart (and future wife) Mary Annie Hughes. Evan is one of the 79 men commemorated on the Roll of Honour at Caersalem Newydd Baptist Chapel, Treboeth.
