Description

Thomas Henry Matthews of Treboeth, Swansea, was a miner before the war, but within a month of the start of hostilities he was with the 3rd (King's Own) Hussars, stationed in Shorncliffe, Kent. However, he soon transferred to the South Wales Borderers. Thomas is one of the 79 men commemorated on the Roll of Honour at Caersalem Newydd Baptist Chapel, Treboeth.
