Description
This is theinterior of one of four remaining cottages in Coulsontown, Delta, Pennsylvania. These cottages housed Welsh slate workers who had emigrated to work in the area and were built in a style typical of Welsh industrial workers' housing during the mid nineteenth century.
Two of the cottages have been purchased by the Old Line Museum, Delta, and are being restored as a living museum, depicting living conditions during the 1850s. This fireplace is original to the house.
