Description

Wynrhys Coghlan of Philadelphia was born in the Swansea area and moved to North America in 1980, settling in the Mainline area of Philadelphia in 1984. Here she describes how the Mainline area was originally settled by the Welsh when William Penn sold them the tract of land, known as the Welsh Tract.

Today, towns and settlements are clues of that initial settlement bearing names such as Bala Cynwyd, Meirion and Radnor.

Wynrhys also talks about being an active member of the Welsh Society of Philadelphia.
