Description

The 18th West Yorkshire Infantry Brigade were camped near Llanidloes in 1914 for training before departing for the First World War. The troops arrived by train at Llanidloes station then marched through the town with their band, watched by a huge crowd of local people. This was the scene in Great Oak Street.
