Description

Edwin Cross sent a large number of photographs to his sister Muriel during the First World War, showing scenes he witnessed while serving in India with the Machine Gun Corps. These images show scenes at Indore, India, March 1919: the inscriptions on the back read "Indore Station", Bathing from Temple steps", "Another view of Temple, showing stall of sugar cane in foreground" and "Daly College, Indore".
