Description
Colour postcard of Edward, the Prince of Wales in uniform, under the title "Our Soldier Prince". He is in the uniform of the Guards, and his medal ribbons include the MC. On the reverse is printed "Welsh Troops Picture Post-card Day in aid of The National Fund for Welsh Troops. President: Countess of Plymouth. Chairman: Mrs Lloyd George. Hon. Treasurer: Sir E. Vincent Evans. Hon. Secretary: William Lewis, 11 Downing St., London, S.W.". This comes from the collection of Jack Edwards of Llandrindod Wells, who served as a private in the Herefordshire Regiment and the Lancs. Fusiliers.
