Description

Ely Racecourse wasn’t just for racing horses! On 16th August 1947 people from all over Cardiff flocked to the racecourse to watch the first International bicycle polo match between Wales and England followed by Grass Track cycle races. It looks like the Welsh boys didn’t have it their way though as they lost 8-2!!
