Description
View of part of Tanygrisiau, near Blaenau Ffestiniog, looking up with the Cwmorthin valley above and behind it. In the valley and hills above Cwmorthin there are at least four slate quarries with some fifty miles of underground slate mines. Quarrying began at Cwmorthin in around 1810.
