Description
Arthur Footitt is commemorated on Borth War Memorial. He died in the First World War and is buried in Maroc.
Arthur was born in 1884 - he went to work as a coachman in Aberllowyn mansion in Llanfarian and married Rebecca Lewis who was the cook.
Arthur then joined Leeds City police and was made Sergeant in charge of the police horses and enlisted. Sadly he was killed in August 1916.
