THE STRANGE DESTINY OF FERRIS.—Strange was the career of the designer of the Great Wheel of the Chicago World's Fair. Thousands, if not millions in this country and others traveled up into the heights, without thinking of its builder who has sunk so low in his death. George W. Ferris died in Pittsburg[h], Pa the other day without a penny in his possession. His remains were cremated, but the crematorium refused to give up the ashes until he was paid by friends [of the deceased].
