Description

T. Gwyer, Pittsburg. By a Friend. [photo] He was born in England and brought up as an Englishman but at heart he is a Welshman. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gwyer of South Side. As a young lad he worked at the Canon Shoe Co on Smithfield St. About 1898 the family moved from Allegheny to South Side and attended the Congegational church, Rev. William Surdival. Active in the church and with the Bisteddfod. A poet and artist. Worked for the May Drug Co as "sigz painter" and "window trimer." Rexall Magazine article by him [several quotes gven].
