Description

These are sea fishing weights found at Goldcliff. They are callled breakaway leads and are designed tp hold their position in strong tides. The wires hook into the sea bed and pulll back thus freeing the lead when either a fish bites or the angler reels in. Fishing at Goldcliff was once a commercial activity, as shown by the pucher remains found there, now though it is solely a leisure activity.
