Industry is slow, salaries low, and thousands of men out of work. Forty iron and steel mills within city limits-nine of them have been idle for periods of two months to two years. Twenty mills are working half time. The election has begun in earnest. Jenkin Jones running to represent the South Side in the State Senate.
