F. Burnot. Declaration of Independence ready by John Newton Gotthold. Pryddest read by Richard Raeff, Judge Kilpatrick lecture. John W. Williams run over by a car and killed. He had lately inheritaed $200,000 and came here from Virginia to have a spree. Little Big Horn-Pittsburgh's part in the battle. 40 of our boys in Custer's troops including Edward M. Lloyd, Herbert P. Thomas, James Hughes, Richard A. Roberts and John T. Phillips. The first three were killed. Unseasonably hot-95-102 degrees, reaching 110 in some places.—Milford Lynne
