Description
This picture shows ponies arriving at keepers pond between Abergavenny and Blaenavon for a drink. The area was once renowned for its Ironworks and associated industrial paraphernalia. it is now an area of outstanding scenic beauty. The pond was once a feeder pond for the iron works at Garndyrrus. The pond got its name from the fact that the gamekeepers cottage was near it the ruins can stil be seen today.
