Photograph of Church Street and the Globe Inn
. Frank Olding records: 'This part of Church Street was demolished in about 1964. During demolition, a mural painting of a sailor dancing a hornpipe was discovered on a wall in the Globe Inn.

The van in the forground is a Bedford CA Dormobile which belonged to Mr. Vince Miles, the landlord of the Globe. The car next to the van is a Humber Supersnipe which belonged to Mr. John Reeves (alias "Black John").'. Taken 1960.
