Description

This is a photograph of Harold and Margaret Legge and their 9 sons, taken circa 1960. The oldest son, Harold, second left, was one of 3 survivors of the Sixbells Explosion in 1960. His father and 4 brothers also worked as miners in Arrail Griffin Colliery at that time. Luckily none were among the 42 victims.
