Description

Aerial photograph showing the Gnoll, Neath, as it appeared in 1959. Famous as a rugby groundsince the late-nineteenth century, the Gnoll has an even oldercricketing history. Many players enjoyed rugby in the winter andcricket in the summer and several grounds similarly doubled up.Those who could not kick or bat a ball in Victoria Gardens foundrefuge here.The grounds have pavillions and capacity for 6000 people.
