Wales National Velodrome, a £7 million project was completed in 2003 and officially opened on 14th November 2003. The velodrome provides a world class cycling track for national and international competition and is used by the British National Team for practice sessions. It was built by CH Pearce Construction and designed by Milson Kane. The 250m cycling track was designed and built by Ron Webb. The Velodrome is part of the Newport International Sports Village, located on Spytty Road, Newport.
