Description

Lloyd George pays Llandovery a visit during our WW1 Reenactment day. Although he was born in Manchester his mother brought him to Wales to be raised after the death of his father. During the early years of WW1 he was chancellor of the exchequer. In 1915 he was appointed minister of munitions and in 1916 he became Prime Minister. He toured and gave many rousing speeches, his greatest war speech was given again, 100 years on, here in Llandovery.
