Description

The sand and mud flat of the Dyfi estuary provided the ideal testing grounds for the rockets mounted on the deck of HMS CAMROUX III. The foreshore was surveyed and laid out with grid. Each grid square was given as unique identifier. Then, as each bank of specially prepared rockets was fired, their landing place could marked and recorded.
