Description

The Rink, Queens Square, Aberystwyth, was a theatre and later cinema which was orginally built as a skating rink in 1880. In the early 20th century it was a venue for concerts and other entertainments until it closed at the beginning of World War One to reopen as a cinema after the war. It closed in 1921 and is now demolished.
Does anyone have any other information about the Rink (photos, memories, etc) to upload?
This advertisement was loaned for scanning by the kind permission of Charlie Downes of Aberystwyth.
