Prosthetic wooden leg with leather covering. Inscribed: ' J. J. STUBBS PATENT 1918 CARDIFF'. Made by J. J. Stubbs & Son Ltd, manufacturer of prosthetic limbs. In 1920, the company advertised its products under the headline 'A boon to the Lame'.
