Description

The photograph looks north along George Street, with the famous Bath Beer House on the right, alongside the route that lead to the river.
On George Street you can see a section of the buildings jutting out into the road. This was removed probably in 1880's and plans detailing the change for Pontypool Local Board are in Gwent Archives.
The building on the left is little changed today.
