Description

The Eisteddfod took place in Pontypool Park just 4 years after it became the property of the people of the area.
An unusual feature at this event was that Prince Edward, Prince of Wales attended on the Tuesday, causing a large throng of people to arrive in the town. There is a fascinating Pathe film of the event on line.
