Description

Aerial view of Runway 05 at Hawarden Airport with the Wirral in the background. During the time of WWII this once RAF station saw the mighty Lancaster bombers taking off from here. There were three runways during that time, but since being the home of Airbus, the main runway has been extended and the other two are now used as taxiways only.Taken 21 September 2007.
