Description
Aerial view of the Lafan Sands situated between Bangor and Abergwyngregyn. It is now an important Nature reserve for birds. It is also the ancient crossing point between Anglesey and Abergwyngregyn and used by Anglesey' cattle drovers in bygone centuries, when they would swim across the Menai Straits at its low tide coming ashore here before droving up the Aber valley to go through Bwlch-y-Ddaufaen to descend down to the Tal-y-Cafn crossing point before moving onwards. Taken 2005/06.
