Description
This is the Certificate that my father Watkin Evan Jones received when he had completed his 2 years on board HMS Conway. The Certificate was presented by the Mercantile Marine Service Association to trainees on board Cadet School Ship Conway. Signed by the Captain H Broadbent The reverse shows that he finished 5th in class, 11th in the school and had a 2nd for seamanship. He left in April 1914.
