Description

This panoramic view is taken from within the rampart of Tre'r Ceiri hillfort on Yr Eifl mountain, Trefor, near Caernarfon. There is a small section of the dry stone rampart wall showing at the bottom left of the image along with the village of Llanaelhaearn at the bottom centre. This panorama has been manually stiched together from about 5 or 6 separate photos. If you look carefully to a point about one-third from the right edge at the snow-capped mountains of Snowdonia, you can make out the twin peaks of Snowdon. Another careful look will reveal the sea at Caernarfon Bay on the left of the image but also to the right of the image is a small part of the Cardigan Bay, revealing that it is here where the Lleyn Peninsula starts. Taken 22 December 2009.
