Description

A photograph taken during the period of the First World war. To the left is a Constable (collar number 18) of the Swansea Harbour Trust Police.

The date of the formation of the force is not known. It went out of existence in 1923 when amalgamated into the Great Western Railway Police force.

The uniform was very similar to that of the Swansea County Borough Police, with some small differences to the insignia of each force.

The Regiment of the soldier to the right, is not known.
