Description

A rare item believed to be the only one left in existence. A warrant card and its leather holder to Constable no. 36 Robert Dale of the former Pembrokeshire Police Force. Pembrokeshire now forms part of the Dyfed Powys Police area. It is dated the 1st September 1954. Signed by the Chief Constable and carrying the force crest. The force Headquarters is shown as being at Haverfordwest Castle. Bob Dale started his police career by initially joining the Salford City Police, and later transferred to Pembrokeshire. By the end of his police career he had risen to the rank of Chief Superintendent in Gloucestershire Constabulary.
